The quality of the tops on the Music Man EVH guitars are fantastic making them some of the most beautiful guitars ever produced for this type of guitar.
The moment you pick up the EB/MM guitar you can feel the quality. It feels better than some of the custom shop boutique axes on the market today. The neck, a bit chunkier than most guitars, is very easy to get used to and very easy to shred on. It is also extremely comfortable.
Unplugged, it's one of the most resonant guitars ever played. All the notes ring out and even with very low action, harmonics seem to jump out of it. It's easy coaxing them out of positions that on most guitars sound dead.
The crunch sounds are incredible from the fully compressed boogie type drop tuned to the classic rock grind of the Marshall with the EB/MM. The bridge pick-up is very defined while the neck pick-up easily captures that famous EVH rhythm tone.
