Edward Van Halen's guitars
ERNIE BALL MUSIC MAN EVH MODEL
Besides the quilted amber model, this was the most used guitar live. It also appears in a guitar ad with Edward inside him home studio.
The guitar specs are:

- Body: basswood with bookmatched figured maple top;
- Body finish: high gloss polyester;
- Body sides and back: black colour with cream binding;
- Bridge: Floyd Rose locking tremolo (lowers pitch only);
- Neck scale: 25-1/2";
- Neck radius: 10";
- Headstock: 5-7/8" long;
- Frets: 22, high profile, medium width;
- Neck width (at nut): 1-5/8";
- Neck width (at last fret): 2-3/16";
- Neck: selected maple neck and fingerboard
- Neck finish: gunstock oil and hand-rubbed special wax blend, matching color headstock;
- Tuners: Schaller M6LA with pearl buttons;
- Truss rod: adjustable;
- Neck attachment: five bolts;
- Electronics shielding: graphite acrylic resin coated body cavity and aluminum lined control cover;
- Switch: 3-way toggle pickup selector;
- Controls: 500 K.Ohm volume pot (with "Tone" button);
- Pickups: two DiMarzio custom wound designed by EVH;
