Edward Van Halen's guitars
PEAVEY WOLFGANG STANDARD (CUSTOMIZED BY JOHN DOUGLAS)

This guitar is a standard 1st year model that John Douglas [see www.johndouglas.com] costumized to my request. It wasn't easy... due to John's hectic schedule, I waited around 4 years for John to have time to undertake my idea/project, which obvious is a one-of-a-kind.

As some may know, John's a great guy, but being a drum tech, drummer and artist himself leaves him little time to "dive" into other projects.

The guitar specs are:
  • Measures: 12-5/8" wide, 1-3/4" thick, 36-1/4" long;
  • Model: Wolfgang Standard (with tremolo);
  • Body wood: basswood;
  • Body and sides color: black;
  • Top wood: basswood;
  • Top color: gloss black;
  • Top art: custom flames & skulls (by John Douglas);
  • Neck: bird's eye maple;
  • Fretboard: bird's eye maple;
  • Fretboard inlays: white dots;
  • Binding: white;
  • Hardware: chrome;
  • Headstock: black;;
  • Tuners: Schaller, 3+3 offset;
  • Tuners keys: soap;
  • Lettering: gold;
