Edward Van Halen's guitars
PEAVEY WOLFGANG CUSTOM, MAHOGANY

This guitar is really all mahogany, a custom deluxe model with rosewood fretboard and maple dot inlays, with a hand rubbed oil finish. The creme colored pick-up rings and knobs finish off a real vintage look. It was built in Leakesville but not delivered until after the move in October of 2003.

  • Measures: 12-5/8" wide, 1-3/4" thick, 36-1/4" long;
  • Model: Wolfgang Custom Deluxe (with tremolo);
  • Body wood: mahogany;
  • Body and sides color: wood;
  • Top wood: mahogany;
  • Top color: wood;
  • Neck: mahogany;
  • Fretboard: rosewood;
  • Fretboard inlays: birdseye maple dots;
  • Binding: cream;
  • Hardware: chrome;
  • Headstock: matching;
  • Tuners: Schaller, 3+3 offset;
  • Lettering: silver;
  • Neck attachment: four bolts;
  • Pickups: three DiMarzio custom wound designed by EVH with creme pickup rings;
  • Electronics: one creme volume knob, one creme tone knob; one 3-way pickup selector creme switch;
  • Tremolo: Floyd Rose with d-tuna installed on lower E-string; this tremolo unit is recessed (lowers pitch only).
