Edward Van Halen's guitars
PEAVEY WOLFGANG STANDARD DELUXE PURPLE FLAME

Like in his Ernie Ball models, Edward also included a purple top guitar in his Wolfgang series. They're very similar in many ways but some may say that the EB/MM has a little higher pitched tone and a slightly brighter sound that corresponds more to the earlier EVH sound, while the Wolfgang has a "warmer" tone.

The guitar specs are:
  • Measures: 12-5/8" wide, 1-3/4" thick, 36-1/4" long;
  • Model: Wolfgang Standard (with tremolo);
  • Body wood: basswood;
  • Body and sides color: black;
  • Top wood: flamed bookmatched maple;
  • Top color: purple finish;
  • Neck: figured birdseye maple;
  • Fretboard: (matching) birdseye maple;
  • Fretboard inlays: black dots;
  • Binding: white;
  • Hardware: chrome;
  • Headstock: black;
  • Tuners: Schaller, 3+3 offset;
  • Lettering: gold;
