This Christmas, guitar fans and Van Halen fans will have their hands full with the Van Halen version of the "Guitar Hero" video game. The release date is set to December 22nd and will feature David Lee Roth, as well as Eddie, Alex and Wolfgang Van Halen; neither Sammy Hagar nor Gary Cherone will be featured.

The game follows the success of the Metallica and Aerosmith versions and includes songs from not only Van Halen, but also other groups with similar musical style, including Deep Purple, Foo Fighters, Alter Bridge, The Clash and Queen, among others.

It is said that Wolfgang is an big fan of the game and may have collaborated on the non-VH setlist.
